Teachers Group

Teach with ease and grace

When a bodywork teacher has basic knowledge in group dynamics they can provide support for the emotional and social climate of the classroom. The way the teacher listens and observes gives data about what the students need. Working with the social and emotional climate of any group of students helps the teacher more effectively meet their instructional goals. Additionally, learning skills to stay connected to your body and sensations can give you information as to what is happening that is not being verbalized in the group. Tensions often exist in classrooms, and can be felt often before they are explicitly seen. You will learn skills that can be put to use constructively toward learning goals to create a safe, supportive enviroment.

“I truly appreciate working with Liz in this group format. Having a mentor who can hold space, create a safe enviroment for our discussions has been meaningful and productive. Liz’s approach invites curiosity, honesty, and so much clarity. As a result, my classes have flowed with more ease and grace. It’s made me realize the importance of having support as an educator.”
